It's mostly payed public parking on the street. You can use a credit/debit card for parking. Maximum 2 hour parking on the streets. However they do have public garages you can park at for a cost! Hopefully this helps!
Hi! I'm one of the owners of Perly's, and I'm Jewish! I grew up in a reformed Jewish home, where we did not keep Kosher. Perly's is an extension of my family's traditions. We do call ourselves "kosher style" or "kosher lite", as we don't serve pork or shellfish, but as someone mentioned earlier, yes, you can get cheese on your sandwich here.
Yes.
Open on the 24th closed 25th
Yes, they have gift cards available at the host stand/bar
Sorry! No they are closed.
Nope! But they do get very busy during brunch time, so I'd try to get there early. They have a lovely store attached to their restaurant though that's great to wait in!
Not sure. Better to call
They do not take reservations. It can be busy but the food is worth the wait.
Great food and fast service. The egg omelette with salmon and turkey bacon was delicious. The French toast brunch satisfied every taste buds. The mimosa was strong but appreciated
The food can't be beat, and their Oy Vey sandwich is huge - enough for lunch AND dinner. Great little deli.
Good food. Kinda noisy place. But resembles deli places in NYC if this is your cup of tea. It's always busy, they don't take phone reservations, sonwaiting time will vary. Food is tasty, but not very refined which its expected from a deli type of restaurant.
Went there for the first time yesterday. Outstanding! My companion and I loved our sandwiches and the service was great. Every time I noticed something coming out of the kitchen I thought "I want that."Can't wait to go back.
Have been here twice - enjoyed it so much the first time that we had to come back when passing through Richmond. Everything is really well done. Loved the fish board! The bagels, cream cheese, and lox options were all delicious and perfectly complemented by a variety of pickled things. Perly's has easily become a favorite that I will gladly continue to return to for an enjoyable meal and fun atmosphere.
What an amazingly yummy spot! I went during the week and the crows wasn't bad, two of got seated as soon as we got there. The waitress was very nice. Will definitely be going back.
Best Jewish deli in the state.
Stopped at this restaurant because of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. It didn't disappoint. Beautiful and cozy resistant y that sent us back in time. Great service - the server was attentive, polite, and offered suggestions. We had the brussels sprouts, the reuben with coleslaw, and the pastrami with garlic fries. Big portions and BIG flavor! I definitely recommend this place if you want a flavorful food experience.
If you don't get the schlubby fries you're a heathen. Brunch isn't brunch without the salmon Benny. They have the only good bagels downtown. The wait on weekends is bananas. 45min to over an hour. But Stella's is next door and they're happy to have you wait there.
Do yourself a favor and get the chocolate Babka. You will not regret it.
DELICIOUS! The perfect fusion of old school and modernism! The sandwiches, the pickles, the fried! SO GOOOOOOOOOOOD!
Everyone from the VP of as large law firm, delegates, senators, and the attorney general himself recommended this place to me.It was worth the hype. Get the house-made pomegranate soda, it is amazing.
Fantastic food! I came from out of town and picked this place based on the reviews. The environment is great - feels like you’ve found a secret local favorite spot straight out of New York. I got the Jewish Sailor - basically two open face sandwiches, one with pastrami, chicken liver spread (way better than it sounds), and red onion and another with a split sausage and pickled red cabbage. A week later I can’t get out of my head how good it was. Definitely will be coming back next time I’m in RVA!
Exceeded my expectations. We went for breakfast, we were told that we could get anything on the menu except the entrees. So with that said I was crushed when I asked for a cup of Matzoh Ball Soup and was told they were out but making it. Ok, yes, disappointing but not anything that will ruin this meal. I ordered the corned beef hash, outstanding! My wife had the fillmore frittata, OMG, a flavor bomb in every bite. We also took a pound of corned beef and pastrami home. As good as Katz.I look forward to going back and getting the soup!
Committed the major issues of coming in with a large group during their rush and splitting all checks. They were more than accommodating, fun and gave us great service. Never pressured us to along.Food was excellent. I had the corned beef hash, made fresh in house. Tried my buddies bagel and lox. Both the best I've had anywhere around. Ate it all before my camera had a chance! Will be back and highly recommend!
We got here at 2:45 on Sunday, not knowing they close at 3. Service was fine, we did feel a bit rushed, but understandable. We had 2 Patty melts, 2 matzo balls soups, a Reuben, knish and an open faced sandwich. Everything was fantastic. Fries, chips and potato salad very tasty. I would definitely come back.
This place was so good. I came in for breakfast and ended up coming back for lunch. I would highly recommend and will be back!
Amazing food with a large menu of choices. I visited during Hanukkah and got the Hanukkah special that is not on the menu. The pickles are amazing and each type tastes different whether it is a pickled cucumber, beet, cabbage, egg, cauliflower, onion or whatever else they have that day. All dishes are large and fresh made. I will absolutely be back and made a note on my calendar to eat there next Hanukkah. They don't take reservations but the meal is worth the wait. It's busy for a reason!
Southern hospitality....very nice n my food was fresh ... even though I switched my order at the window with ah line rap around the build drive thru was very understanding ❤️
I was surprised at how much I loved this little cozy hole in the wall. The food blew me away. I was very intimidated by the menu at first because I'm not familiar with Jewish cuisine. However, I got the Rachel and it was so so delicious. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed the experience here. Wait staff was great and the environment was unique and pleasant too.
I mentioned that I miss Bragmen's in Newark, NJ aand someone suggested this place. The special fries with Russian, Hasbro and peppers is OUTSTANDING! The pastrami and corned beef is very good as well! The people were nice and very helpful with all of my questions. Thank you!
Great food and generous proportions! Authentic like my mother in law made! Only problem, we purchased bagels to take home and they were hard and stale! We expected them to be the same quality as the food. We certainly will give it another try.
The Matzo Ball soup will cure anything! It's always piping hot and prepared fresh. The french fries are delicious and the patty melt is very tasty. Portions are generous and the restaurant takes you to a big city Jewish diner.
The 1 hour waiting was worth it. A classic Reuben sandwich was wonderful. Great service and selection of local beers.
Went for breakfast with a friend--good bloody Mary and we both had corned beef hash & eggs--delicious! It was a bit noisy and crowded for my taste, but it was a deli spot on a Sunday mid-morning! Caveat: no pork bacon or sausage, true to Jewish diet.
Excelent service: fast and friendly... their brand of pop is great! Food was delicious. Very traditional style US dinning place.
Heard great things about this place and finally got around to trying it. Very nice atmosphere and style to the place. I ended up getting one of the beef dogs and the server was super helpful figuring out the Gluten-free options for my celiac partner. Food was great and came out quickly. More than enough hash for seconds! Will for sure be coming back to try more of the menu.
Love the vibe and atmosphere, service is quick and spot on. Oh yea, great food. Love the wait next with coffee and take home food.
Great Jewish deli in the heart of the city. I personally love a fish a bagel combo (usually lox on everything). The entire menu is amazing though, great breakfast as well. Pastrami is a standout deli meat. Expect a wait around lunch and brunch hours. Good spot for a coffee or beer too.
Great Jewish style food. Good portions. Very reasonable prices. Service could be slow when it gets busy.
The food and attention were exemplary. The food was well made. The Bread was amazing as was the ambiance. I highly recommend Perly’s for a great meal. I will definitely be returning though I live almost 100 miles away.
Not my typical choice of food but the egg, chicken, and tuna salads were all good.
This was only my second visit to Perly's. Both times have been with my son who is a huge fan. Perly's is one of those restaurants that seems to take you back in time, when people enjoyed every moment. We were warmly welcomed and cared for while we were there. We ordered breakfast, and both the service and food was wonderful. Try the beef bacon and the French toast! And while you wait, enjoy a cup of the best coffee you're likely to find ANYWHERE!! You'll want to come again! Oh, and let's not forget--they are employing safety protocols to adhere to our new Coronavirus mandates.
This was my first time eating at Perly’s during my recent visit to Richmond. Our brunch plates were amazing, however I was disappointed with smoked trout form deli. I ordered it to go to take home, unfortunately it was unbelievably salty and quite dry. Not worth $18.
Superb, my favorite breakfast place in Richmond! The schnitzel plate is so epic, schnitzel on top of a potato salad with eggs and a smoked trout salad! Yum yum yum! :)
This was recommended to us by a lot of locals so we changed our plans for brunch from somewhere else and went here instead. Definitely recommend coming here. The food was good, the wait staff was friendly and helpful. It was a little slow which is the only reason it’s not a 5, but overall would definitely come back. Pictured is the Benny Goodman
Loved it! Real food with a home cooked feel. Had the pierogies, the Reuben, fries, everything chips and real cream sods. The new artsy vibe is a plus.
Great restaurant. I particularly enjoy the plate with different salads--egg salad, whitefish, tuna--fresh veggies and rye bread to make my own open face sandwiches. If the wait is long, they send you over to relax at Stella's market nextdoor--nice way to handle the fact that there isn't a lot of room by the door.
When I lived in Richmond, I frequented Perly's as they have amazing food, friendly staff, and great prices. Now that I've moved, I still insist we stop by everytime I am in the area and get some of their incredible food - highly recommend!
Went to lunch with two other people today - what a great place - we all really enjoyed it. The food is delicious, well prepared and presented, in an old-style deli setting. Will be adding it to my places I want to go to when back in town.
As a person who group up in NJ surrounded by Jewish food, having this gem available in RVA is a true blessing. If you're looking for the best sandwich on the menu, make sure to get a Rachel with pastrami instead of turkey; one of the best sandwiches in the city!
It's already been a while since I visited Perly's with my wife and I remember it like it was yesterday. Food was SO flavorful, portions more than ample, and the staff was so friendly it seemed like they were happy to be there; imagine! If you have the chance to dine here, please do.I hope that helps!
I can't say enough. Not only was the food delicious. The service was spectacular. I can't remember the last time or ever receiving service like this. Our waitress, Virginia, was attentive, kind and knowledgeable about the menu. She told the chef we were celebrating our anniversary and he sent out a small gazpacho cup for myself and one for my partner.
Amazing food and excellent waiter! We had a large party and the service was wonderful. Everything arrived as ordered and all the food was delicious! We will be back!
Love love love Perly's! Ever visit is a great! Was hesitant with covid 19... but they were great with space and PPEs and I don't feel uncomfortable.
Excellent service, delicious food. The restaurant manager/staff were very courteous and respectful. They quickly made us feel at home.Service was excellent, food came out right on time and sandwiches were all amazing. I forgot my phone on the table while leaving and the manager came running down three blocks or so to find us and return it. Truly touching.
Great place in center city Richmond. Open all day, but we went for an early dinner. Fried trout and brisket plates were very good. Sandwiches are very large. Very reminiscent of many meals in the Delis in Baltimore. Also recently seen on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Guy is always right.
Always friendly, knowledgeable staff and fantastic food. Never had a bad experience. Just get there early or be ready for a wait if you’re heading in for breakfast on the weekend. Even then, there’s a cute little cafe/shop next door you can grab a coffee while you wait and they’ll come find you when your table is ready. I highly recommend Perly’s!
Everything is perfect food wise. Esthetic is charming and relaxing. Cocktails are detail crafted. Excellent all around.
I didn’t know I like Jewish food until I went to this place. What a cute amazing place to eat. I order a corn beef bagel sandwich with fried eggs and mozzarella cheese, boy that sandwich was so good and fresh. I can’t wait to go back for more. 😋
